The Eye Witness

William Hogarth (1687–1764),

The idle ‘Prentice Executed at Tyburn, finished print, 1747.

Engraving, 25.7 x 40cm. Wikimedia Commons

There were only three hanging sessions at Tyburn in 1747.  This does not look like winter and could, therefore, very well be an eyewitness recording of Richard’s execution.
